WARWICK FOOD FESTIVAL

This post is way overdue,I found the pictures sitting on my camera and completely forgot that this event ever took place (brain like a sieve) better late than never I suppose.

A few weeks back we headed to Warwick for their first ever dedicated food and drink festival,it was a lovely day out, the sun was shining,well... until it started to drizzle but we had our coats on and the food and drink was going down perfectly.
All sorts of exhibitors turned up serving food from around the world ,independent bakers with their delicious cakes and breads,Olives by the bucketfull and more preserves than you could shake a stick at,all in all it was a brilliant way to pass a Sunday afternoon.

A highlight was stumbling across a little shop called The Square Wine, the rustic interior drew me straight in as did the epic selection of Gin,lets just say I was in Gin heaven and spent a good 15 minutes dribbling over the vast selection.

I highly recommend visiting Warwick, its such a gorgeous little town and I hope they make this event annual, i'll definitely be visiting next year if so.

I feel like a workspace is very personal and everyones is different, personally I hate clutter, dust and bits of paper flying about,it gives me an instant headache and leaves me with no incentive to work whatsoever so I make sure its tidy after every time its been used.

Things I keep on/near my desk:
1.CUP OF TEA-The essential,no desk is complete without a hot beverage to keep you going.

2.PHONE-What better way to procrastinate? Handy for incoming calls and texts but a bit of a time waster(It never leaves my side,i'm just one of those annoying people).

3.NOTEBOOK- It goes without saying, perfect for brainstorming ideas/blog posts or anything else you need to jot down.

4.CAMERA- Obviously,I'm no full time blogger but even being a part time blogger it's always stuck to me.

5.FLOWERS- Purely for aesthetic reasons, peonies are my favourite.

6.PHOTOS/PICTURES- I'm only just starting to decorate my wall but i've got a few bits pinned up,a favourite being an old school photo of my dad,it reminds me daily not to take life too seriously and to laugh 24/7,I'm currently on the hunt for an oldie of my mum to go along side.(massive love for my parents).

Whats on your desk?

You know that one band/artist you have loved for years and you end up buying every t-shirt or item of memorabilia possible? yeah i'm guilty of that,my chosen band being ZZTOP,I grew up listening to these badass, bearded, southern rockers and still to this day they are probably my favourite band ever!
That aside,I stumbled across this gem of a t-shirt over on Depop,I already own a couple of their tour t-shirts and I couldn't pass up this little beaut, especially as it was a mere £6.50.
I find styling a band t-shirt the easiest thing, they go with everything you put them with be it jeans,a skirt, shorts, over a pretty dress, over a bikini for by the pool, the possibilities are endless and thats why I love them.

What do you wear yours with and who is your favourite band?

CURRENT FAVOURITE PRODUCTS

beauty review rodial esteem lauder clinique peony

There are always those very few products you cling on to and use over and over again,I have found 4 miracle products that my skin & hair have been loving, they probably aren't anything new to some people but for me,they are new finds and I can't put them down.

clinique custom repair serum review name organ oil review hair beauty

CLINIQUE REPAIR SERUM
I got this free recently in a magazine,I can't remember which one,it was either Instyle or Red and i've fallen in love with it.The formula is lovely, its very lightweight and makes a great base for make up.I tend to use this in the morning under my moisturiser and then apply my make up on top,the smell is very pleasant,it smells fresh and clean and in my opinion is an all round great serum.

NuMe ARGAN HAIR OIL
Bleached girls...you will love this! Wether you are an all over blonde or have a few bleached highlights then this baby will save your day! I apply a pea sized amount to towel dried hair and blow dry as normal. Now the scent of this is divine,If it was a body oil I'd be bathing in it all day long, unfortunately only my locks can benefit from it.
It leaves your hair feeling luscious, soft and manageable,I sometimes reach for this and use it on dry hair when its being unruly and needs some taming.(not too much though or you end up looking like a grease ball)
rodial super food stem cell glam balm multi review estee lauder advanced night repair review

ESTEE LAUDER ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR
Okay so its no secret that this product is amazing, everyone and their mother have tried it and I feel like i'm the last person in the world to test it out,I only got a miniature sample because its hardly cheap and I wanted to see what the fuss was about before I blew £50.
I can 100% say its incredible!! I had major sunburn on my face last week so I slapped this on before bed and in the morning there was no sign of burnt, flaky skin.It leaves your face feeling plump, new and very well looked after. It also makes me feel like a rich lady that spends a lot on her beauty regime when I use this product...Reality being,I'm pretty broke and have to settle for samples haha!
I most definitely will be buying the full size of this.

RODIAL STEMCELL GLAM BALM
Again another magazine freebie,I feel like such a pikey but getting free products in magazines is a great way to try out new things without breaking the bank and when you get a near full size sample like this then why the hell not.
If you are oily I'm not sure you will love this but for dry skin girls this stuff is immense! I use it as a moisturiser in the mornings,it plumps my skin and leaves it incredibly hydrated. The only qualm I have with this product is that it separates and you just get fluid pouring out if you don't give it a good shake and squeeze, however when it works,it works bloody well.

I'm on the lookout for a good SPF moisturiser,if any of you beauty girls know of some reasonably priced ones i'd love to know

Have you tried any of these products? Which is your fave?

SUNDAY STYLE

polyvore set casual boyfriend jeans kate-louise ray ban outfit

TEE // HAT // RAYBANS // JEANS // SANDALS

I haven't created a polyvore set for ages so I thought it was about time I knuckled down and started making wish lists of things I can't actually afford!(does anyone else do this?)

This would be my perfect Sunday afternoon, casual outfit.
I've come to terms with the great British summer and have decided that you just can't rely on whats going to happen.
My answer to dealing with this bloody awful climate Is... BOYFRIEND JEANS!! I opt for ones with rips in to keep cool in the mugginess, pair them with a loose tee and some pretty sandals and you're good to go,anything else accessory-wise is a bonus.

Whats your perfect Sunday outfit? (Apart from PJ's)

It's sometimes a bit daunting throwing on a print,I'm used to wearing a plain colour palette with not much going on but I feel that these joggers are quite muted and not too in your face,also... everyone loves a palm print, right?

I am branching out of my colour comfort zone (I'm one of those dreaded black, white & grey people) and currently lusting after anything with earthy tones;browns, khakis, yellows, creams you name it,i'm all over it,I recommend that if you aren't much of a colour chameleon like me then try adding these accents to your outfits, you will be pleasantly surprised.

It's been so hectic lately with the new job, trying to catch up on outstanding blog posts and dealing with life in general that I haven't found time to take photos of my daily outfits,However,I finally got round to it.

I've been living in this get-up recently,I wanted something comfy and Casj to wear one day last week and pulled this Blue ensemble out of the wardrobe, its ticks all the boxes for British Summer time,I daren't show too much skin incase the heavens open so sticking to a heavy denim and teaming it with a lighter fabric is a perfect option, furthermore the gold sandals add some much needed pizazz to an otherwise boy-like outfit.

What is your go-to 'in between weather' outfit?

NEW IN: FAME TAN

I'm not a huge fake tan enthusiast,1. because i'm lazy and 2.I'm lucky enough to have an olive tone to my skin so I never really bother but this one intrigued me,mainly because it is packed full of natural ingredients and that it is a lotion and not a horrible dark foam that turns you instantly streaky and looking like you have just walked off the set of 'The only way is Essex'.
I have only used this once and the results are lovely, its easy to apply,it dries in minutes and left my legs streak free also it doesn't smell horrible like the majority of tans do.
legs thigh tattoo rose tattoo(Excuse the bruises, constantly walking into things haha)

Overall I'm really happy with this tan it ticks all the boxes and it's build-able too so for when i'm feeling super pale or have an event to go to I will be slapping this on.You can buy this and a range of other 'For all My Eternity' Tan products HERE

Have you tired any good gradual tans recently?

PHOTO DIARY: FISH NIGHT

hand tattoo dauphinois v slicerdauphinois potatoes fried chorizodauphinois potatoes samphire shrimp sauce pan fried sea bass chorizo dauphinois potatoespan fried sea bass chorizo dauphinois potatoes
We are like a couple of old fogies when it comes to fish,we have it at least once a week or sometimes even two, often, people see fish as expensive to buy, hard to cook and generally question what to put with it,my answer for those is...just give it a go and practice!
I used to be a steak fanatic and I still am but since experimenting with new fish dishes i'm converted and actually find a fish dish much lighter and overall more tasty than a big lump of cow.

This weekend we chucked together this dish which consisted of Pan fried Sea Bass (One of my fave fishes) on a bed of Samphire & Shrimp accompanied by Dauphinois Potatoes and chorizo. It was divine and so simple to make.Just remember.. FISH TAKES MINUTES TO COOK,DONT OVERCOOK IT!!!

Have you tried any fish recipes lately?Let me know your favourites
