Bomber jackets have been HUGE this year, everyone and their mother owns one and if you don't,where have you been? I must admit,i'm not a huge follower of trends but I feel like this is the one trend I had to give into and i'm quite pleased its following us into A/W '16

This corker is from Nine Lives London and quite a bit different from the sateen bombers on the high street,it is SO well made with  a thick, warm body and contrasting PU sleeves,a perfect yet rugged nod to the biggest trend this year and sure to keep the chill out throughout the winter.

What's your go-to winter coat?

Before anyone comments "Put some clothes on it's fucking October" I will just mention that this was actually photographed at the height of Summer and me being the forgetful prick that I am, completely forgot to post it, however I loved the outfit too much to just throw it in the trash folder so you are having it now in chilly, Autumnal October.
That being said I would absolutely wear this in the cooler months with a chunky knit thrown over the top, some Converse and a sheepskin jacket, why the hell not?

Have you got any summer pieces you will be taking through to the Winter this year?

DINING AT W AMSTERDAM

w amsterdam,w hotels,w hotel amsterdam,the duchess restaurant amsterdam,dining at w amsterdam,kate louise blog,food,foodie,restaurant review,hotel review,
If it’s food you are looking for in Amsterdam then the W Hotel should be your first port of call. I am a greedy bugger when it comes to food and my first job when I go travelling is to check out the local "foodie" joints, however as soon as I set eyes on the restaurants and menus at W Amsterdam I knew I wouldn’t have to go far to get my fill of delicious grub.
W Amsterdam is spilt in to two parts, the Bank Building and the Exchange Building, in both buildings reside two awesome restaurants, The Duchess and Mr. Porter and let me tell you, you wont be disappointed with either.

THE DUCHESS
The Duchess is the most beautiful restaurant I have ever stepped in to (and I visit a lot of restaurants) The d├ęcor is breath taking, it almost made me feel posh and incredibly well off whilst scoffing my eggs Royale and sipping my perfectly blended tea! (I can assure you I’m far from it) The Duchess offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, I sampled all three and it’s a bold statement but I would eat there everyday of my life given the chance. If you are visiting I highly recommend trying the salted baked sea bass, the green risotto and for desert the chocolate explosion, trust me, you won’t want to leave.

MR PORTER
Mr porter is a unique concept that artfully blends qualities of the modern steakhouse with the buzz and experience of a chic lounge. I spent one of my mornings in Mr. Porter whilst in Amsterdam and the breakfast was to die for, everything from Yoghurt pots to fresh juices and fry ups, they also offer a Mediterranean style buffet for breakfast which is incredible, if you like something out of the ordinary to start the day then Mr. Porter is the place to be.

katecooks,katecooksblog,apple crumble,blackberry crumble,apple and blackberry crumble,food,foodie,food,easy cooking,food styling,food stylist,fruit crumble,katelouiseblog,
There’s no better feeling than the feeling a hot fruit crumble brings. The instant fulfillment and warmth wraps around you like a giant hug, each spoonful tastes better than the last and if by magic the thought of not being able to squeeze into your new skinny jeans tomorrow morning just vanishes.
The hedgerows are jam packed with Blackberries at the moment, don’t let them go to waste, pair them with crisp, juicy Bramley apples and a dusting of sugary goodness. Thank me later.
Time to get picking!

1. Preheat oven to 200c (use temperature converter depending on your own oven) Peel and Chop your Apples into 2cm Chunks. Stir in Lemon juice, white sugar and a pinch of salt. Add the Blackberries and mix together, pop mixture into an ovenproof dish and drizzle over your Vanilla bean paste.

3. For the crumble topping simply add Flour, Light brown Sugar, Porridge Oats and a pinch of salt to a mixing bowl. Chop butter into cubes and add into the mixture. Using your fingers rub the butter in until everything looks like breadcrumbs, you don’t want it too fine in texture, keep some lumps in!! Sprinkle the nuts in and gently toss (Ahem).

4. Gently push your fruit down making it as flat as possible then scatter over your crumble topping making sure every piece of fruit is covered and you have an even layer.

5. Pop in the oven and bake for 40mins regularly checking to make sure it’s not burning.

6. Remove from oven once golden brown on top and the fruit is bubbling inside. Serve with Custard or Cream and Enjoy.
