december goals, christmas, christmas candles, christmas inspiration, christmas pyjamas, katelouiseblog, lifestyle, the white company, how to relax over christmas,
I know, it's already the 7th December and I should of probably started my goals at the end of last month but hey, it's not Christmas unless you're totally unorganised and if you're anything like me you still haven't started shopping, yet alone planning food etc. I thought if I popped on the blog and wrote down everything I needed to achieve this month (rather than on a piece of scrap paper which would probably get binned in a mid month rage) then I would be more inclined to stick to what needs to be done(!) Whatcha think? Let's have a go....

1. Get Christmas content out on the blog! Every year I look back at my blog over the festive period and I literally have nothing to show, i'm not sure wether it's because I work full time and have no time to shoot or it's because every other blogger is churning it out and it can get a bit much? Who knows, however i'm going to stop looking at what everyone else is doing and bring you lots of food, lifestyle and festivities.....but mainly food, that sound okay? Let me know if you want to see anything in particular.

2. Spruce the home up! By this I mean make it look as Christmassy as possible, this could be our last Christmas in this house so I want to make it look as pretty as possible, i've been sorting through the cupboards that never get touched, throwing out rubbish, donating to charity and just generally having a massive clear out, in an attempt to make room for everything festive. Oooo and i'm addicted to cleaning videos, call me sad or old but i'm bloody hooked and my cleaning love is at an all time high, my goal is to keep on top of this throughout December.

3. Exercise more.... probably not going to happen over Christmas lets be honest, however....I have massively fallen off the fitness and healthy eating wagon since the weather has got colder, there's just something about winter that makes me want to eat everything, bar salad! why is this? I aim to walk for an hour each day (having dogs should make this easy) and getting back into my fitness videos, I CAN do it!

4. Get back into Youtube, again this is something i've totally fallen off the wagon with, I always feel guilty for not uploading to my channel as much as I used to but working flat out makes this super hard(!) I'm not going to let it ruin what I love doing though so stay tuned to my channel to see some new content coming your way in the next few months, if you're not already subscribed then please head over and click that button to stay updated.

5. Host a Christmas movie night. I've always wanted to create an at home cinema experience over Christmas by making the lounge all cosy with throws, candles, all the party food, fairy lights...you get the gist, along with all my favourite Christmas films, I still haven't managed to sit down and watch one yet so this weekend we will be having a movie marathon starting with The Grinch! What's your favourite festive film?

What are your goals for December?

Halloween is right around the corner and if you're anything like me you aren't organised at all? I'm not a huge fan of going all out for Halloween because Christmas is more my jam but I do like experimenting with food and throwing a scary film night with allllll the sweets and treats, these No-bake Pumpkin Truffle Mummies are easy peasy to make and hardly take anytime at all (other than the chilling) but hey, they are worth the wait, if you have a sweet tooth you will ~love~ these.

: YOU WILL NEED :
. 1 1/2 Cups of Ginger Nut Biscuit Crumbs
. 1/4 Cup Tinned Pumpkin Puree
. 1/3 Cup Basic Cracker Crumbs
. 3 TBSP Icing Sugar
. 1/4 TSP Ground Cinnamon
. 1/8 TSP Salt
. 3 OZ Cream Cheese
. 1/2 Cup White Choc Chips
. 1 Bar White Cooking Chocolate
. Red Food Colouring

: HOW TO :
1. In a large bowl, add all of the dry ingredients along with the cream cheese and mix together, (you will need to use a blender to make the biscuit and cracker crumbs first) Mix until it forms a smooth paste.

2. Melt 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips and add to the mixture.

3. Cover with cling film and pop in the freezer for an hour or so until the mixture is set and you can roll into bite-sized balls.

4. Split mixture and start rolling into small balls and then poke cocktail sticks in.
Melt the white cooking chocolate and start dipping in your truffle balls until fully covered, I also used some of the chocolate on a whisk and trickled it over the mummies to create a textured finish.
Using a cocktail stick and red food colouring, create the mummies eyes.
Chill in fridge until chocolate has hardened.

It seems so long since I last posted an outfit wearing more than 1 layer, not that i'm complaining because I am most definitely a summer baby, however i'm not going to lie, I've been enjoying wrapping up and heading out into the fresh (but still warm-ish) air. It doesn't quite seem cold enough to whack out the coat yet so i've been reaching for my trusty denim jacket paired with my ~fave~ Animal hoodie to get me through until winter. I've been absolutely loving Animal's A/W range and have acquired a few pieces which i'll be sharing with you over the coming weeks but for now, these are my new loves(!!!) The hoodie and backpack haven't left my shoulders(!)

I recently wore this outfit for a day in Belfast, it was such a gorgeous day, the sun was blaring but still had that cool breeze in the air which made this outfit the perfect ensemble. Belfast is such a beautiful city, quite small but lots going on, with great places to eat and some incredible architecture, a very underrated city I feel and I can't wait to head back very soon.

What's your ~go-to~ Autumnal outfit? Have you visited Belfast before? I'd love some recommendations for my next visit.

I feel so bloody lucky to have this beautiful place to cook in, it's definitely my most favourite part of the house and where I spend 99% of my time(!)

If you have followed me for a while you will be aware that I absolutely ~love~ to cook (so does Paul) so obviously the kitchen had to be the best room in the house, we decided to keep the walls fresh with white paint and mix the woods up with off white marble worktops and industrial furnishings which carry on through the whole house. We have recently had a new Stoves cooker in a gloss black finish which adds a pop of "modern" and it's also a bloody awesome bit of kit, cannot WAIT to do some autumnal baking in this bad boy.

autumn lust list, autumn must haves, fashion, katelouiseblog, swatch, swatch watch, tic watches,
It's been a fair while since I posted a wish-list style post, I think coming out of summer and not knowing wether it was going to be boiling hot or hammering it down with rain left me slightly uncertain about what I wanted to wear, let alone what I wanted to buy. However, with Autumn slowly creeping in and winter just around the corner it has inspired me to have a shop around and i've come across some beauts including some long time lusts (which are out of my budget atm/always, wahhhhh).
So lets kick off with Red, Red has been huge on the catwalks and on the streets this season, I have calculated quite the album on pinterest featuring my favourite street style shots which include this vibrant shade of loveliness and I can't get enough of it! I love how it looks paired with black, silver and grey pieces and how it stands out against this monochrome palette.
Top of my wish list at the mo is this Swatch watch, now if you have been a follower for a while you will know how ~in to~ my watches I am and have quite the collection already but have been missing an all silver one and this beauty is right up my street, it jumped out at me whilst on the hunt for some new wrist candy, if I don't buy this for myself then it will certainly be on my (dare I say it) Christmas list) this year.

What's your favourite piece? What's on your Autumn wish list this year?

JUMPER || BEANIE || LIPSTICK || TRAINERS || SUNNIES || WATCH || PEN || UMBRELLA || SKIRT || SCARF || CANDLE

Music plays a HUGE part in my life, well isn't it everyone's life? Can you imagine a life without Music? Would be pretty shite wouldn't it? all those memories you associate with different songs, and most importantly what would you get pissed up to in the clubs? With that being said, I thought i'd introduce a new monthly post to my blog because I am one of those people who lives and breathes music and there isn't a silent moment in my house, so please welcome "Monthly Playlist #1". In these posts I will be running through some of my favourite Songs/Albums old and new from the past month, pretty self explanatory right? Right,....it's quite a hefty one, lets go

And the best thing to listen to all of this on is my new babies from Sudio, how beautiful are they? And Jesus they certainly pack a punch, if you love listening to your music loud then these will be right up your street, and what's ever better is once they are on your ears no one else can hear your tunes so no more miserable old woman on the bus tutting when you listen to your favourite track.
Another awesome feature is they are completely wireless so if you're anything like me and have lots of sets of tangled headphone cords in your bag then its time to bin them and get your hands on these! They are super comfy to wear and (this may sound weird) they don't make your ears sweat, surely i'm not the only one that has experienced mega hot ears after wearing headphones for too long? I wore them for a solid hour whilst travelling the other day and my ears were very cool indeed, you can also buy interchangeable covers for the discs on the sides, I opted for marble and i'm in ~love~ with them!!

beauty, make up, xlash, eyelash serum, lord and berry, rosehipplus, luxe studio brushes, nars sheer glow, collection concealer, lord and berry 20100, effaclar duo unifiant, make up products you need, katelouiseblog,
So, beauty has kinda taken a bit of a backseat on my blog recently, as you can probably tell i'm massively into my food atm (when am I not?) however, I've acquired a few things lately that I am absolutely in ~love~ with and thought I would share my findings and give beauty a bit of much needed space on my blog again.

First up are these beautiful eyeshadows by Lord & Berry, now I will admit i'm not a huge eyeshadow wearer unless it's a special occasion or I have more than half an hour to get ready in the morning(I wish) saying that, i've been all over these little beauties, over the lid would be far too much for my liking but a line carefully swiped under the lower lash line for a pop of colour has been my ~go-to~ of late, I feel like it instantly wakes my face up, gives me a fresh looking eye and adds that element of fun to my "most of the time, boring face of make up".
Top tip: The colour intensifies if you apply with a wet brush!! ooo and also I think i've mentioned them before but thought i'd include the Lord & Berry Lipstick crayons too, they are super creamy, stay put for ages and come in array of gorgeous shades. Next up is this ~amazing~ Rosehip oil from RosehipPLUS, this product has been a life saver over the summer months, it instantly revives my skin and has helped my dryness SO much(!) I slather this on about an hour before bed and let it sink in overnight, in the morning my skin is bouncy, supple and glowing, if you're on the market for a face oil you ~need~ to try this, my skin has certainly thanked me for it and whats better than all natural ingredients ay?

Right...i'm not going to lie, when these Luxe brushes hit the market and started cropping up everywhere I completely dismissed them thinking it was just another stupid beauty craze to make a bit of money, however... I was SO wrong, these brushes have changed my foundation routine and have made applying make up in the morning fun again, I use them with Effaclar Duo+ Foundation in the day and with NARS Sheer Glow for an evening along with Collection concealer and they blend the products so evenly and make my skin look flawless, I am so pleasantly surprised by these little beauts and before I miserably shrug something off (the struggles of being a moody bitch) in the future I will give it the benefit of the doubt because these have blown my mind, thank you Luxe Studio.

And Finally... Again another one of those products I thought was a bit of a gimmick...wait for it.... I was wrong.. again (I really need to stop being so dubious of products) is the XLash Eyelash Serum, this is said to support eyelash growth and give you longer, healthier lashes using only natural products, seems to good to be true right? Wrong (again) I have been using this stuff for only a couple of weeks and I must say, it has made my lashes look insane already, I use it on my eyebrows too and i'm hoping, fingers crossed my brows will benefit from it also, all you do is brush a thin layer onto your lash line before bed, simple as that, no sticky, wet feeling and it doesn't irritate your eyes in the slightest, perfect! I will be sure to report back on my eyelash growth over the next month or two so keep your eye's peeled(!).

Hello from sunny England....(!) I'm going to be honest, I didn't think i'd be walking around in a raincoat and wellies at the start of September thats for sure. Part of me is clinging onto any possible Summer we have left and the other part is thinking sod it, i'm SO ready for Autumn and can't be bothered to fight this weather any longer(!) That being said we braved the rain this past weekend, if you can't beat it, join it right? and headed off to one of our favourite National Trust's, Hanbury Hall & Gardens...yep were officially old(!) I bloody LOVE National Trust Day's out and we have recently become members (yep getting older by the second) so we packed the dogs up and went for a long walk around the property and also did the black walk which surrounds it.

I was quite smug when I opened the curtains to rain that morning as i've been dying to wear my new coat from Animal, isn't it awesome? and the perfect transitional jacket? I've been trying to inject a bit of colour into my wardrobe over the past few months so when the lovely lot at Animal sent me the coat and vest I let out a little squeal, orange is one of my favourite colours and the little pops of it here and there against the black makes me super happy, it's surprisingly warm too, so just teamed with my hoody underneath kept me toasty and dry, I have a feeling this one may be sold out but here's another beaut pattern in the same style, it's on sale too, only £30!!! Bargain.
