A couple of weeks ago, Paul and I packed
our bags and headed off to Rock in Cornwall, we have spent many a holiday in
the gorgeous town of Rock and stayed in the most beautiful properties from
Latitude 50, including Mullets and Fairfax, we like to try out a different
property each time we stay and this time it was Meadowside
We went with a couple of our friends and
their dogs so Betty & Burt had some friends to play with while they were
there. We find Cornwall extremely welcoming towards dogs, they are welcome in
most cottages, pubs, bars and shops, people seem to be very open to the idea of
dogs being a member of the family and this is very important to us.
THE PROPERTY

Meadowside sits in a peaceful location up a
little lane boasting the most beautiful houses and countryside. The property is
warm and welcoming and acts as the perfect home away from home. The rooms are
huge and the layout is perfect for lounging around to entertaining and cooking
(and getting slightly tipsy). The dogs adored playing in the garden and with
the beautiful weather we had, the balcony terrace was a dream to sit on and
soak up the rays.

TO DO
Rock is the tiniest of towns but has
everything you need from Butchers, Deli’s, Restaurants, Fishmongers and gift
shops but most importantly, the fabulous beach. We have visited plenty of
beaches in our time but Rock beach is breathtaking and only a 10-minute walk
from Meadowside. The dogs ran for hours in and out of the sea chasing balls and
sticks and we walked for miles. Want to explore further? You can get the sea taxi straight over to
Padstow which takes all of 5minutes and is a must do if you are staying in
either towns.

TO
EAT

Rock has a few hidden gems when it comes to
food; St Enodoc Hotel is our favorite for a slap up meal. We first discovered
it when Nathan Outlaw had his restaurant there (which was bloody amazing and
the food was divine) but now has been handed over to Michelin starred chef
James Nathan, we have eaten there numerous times now and it has never failed. If
you want to buy food and take it home for a feast then Lewis’ the Delicatessen
is the place to go and has everything you need for those Spring BBQ’s.

Have you ever been to Rock before? If you are looking for the perfect holiday in the UK, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed

Much Love
