HOW TO ACHIEVE EFFORTLESS, BEACHY WAVES

beachy hair, beauty, curly hair, hair, how to achieve beachy waves, how to curl your hair, how to get beach waves, katelouiseblog, max pro, max pro hair tools, wavy hair, fashion, ombre hair,
I’m sat writing this post with a completely different hair cut to this, the day after I took these photos I chopped all my hair off, no fault of the product i’m about to mention but merely my erratic impulse decision to go for a dark brown, dead straight, bob which yes, I can tell you after living under a comfort blanket of thick ombre hair was very scary, I came out of the hairdressers thinking “What the Fuck have I just done” but hey….new year, new hair and all that.
So rewind a day before to my lovely balayage mane, god I loved this hair…. throughout the stages of growing it I had always been on the search for the perfect hair tool, texturising spray, wax, hairspray you name it, something that would give me that effortless beachy wave look and I could never find it, well that’s until this little bad boy landed on my doorstep, the MAX PRO Twist 32mm. now I’m not going lie to you, for moment I thought, ah yeah this will be the same as every other curler i’ve tried in my 27 years of life, low and behold I was wrong (something I don’t like to admit most of the time).

Something i’d never tried before was a thick barrel and I think this was where i’ve been going wrong for so long, i’m not a hair pro so i’m not up on these things and probably having done my research I could of found this out but being the lazy shit that I am, it didn’t even occur to me it just bloody google it! Anyway if you are struggling to get effortless waves then the thicker barrel is the way forward, I went for the 32mm which I think is the thickest they do, they also stock loads of other widths, styles and straighteners if this one isn’t for you.

To achieve this look is super simple, just section off your hair (I tend to do mine into four layers and then divide the layer into four sections and curl that way but whatever suits) I curl away from the face and keep the temperature at around 180-200 degrees, quite hot I know but it holds the curl for hours, once all the layers have been curled I go through with my fingers and separate them so they don’t look too uniform, a quick spritz of hairspray and you’re done

If you are on the market for some new curlers head over to Max pro and check out their products, i’m super happy with mine and haven’t put them down since receiving it.

Much Love
K
