I’m going to be honest with you all, i’ve never felt 100% comfortable in a dress, my day to day outfits revolve around jeans, a t-shirt and some beaten up trainers, however, there’s something about getting glammed up that i’ve always enjoyed even when it pushes me out of my comfort zone of looking like a boy(!) So when Debenhams invited me along to the Jingle Bell Ball this year (which was incredible might I add) I couldn’t refuse a bit of pampering, preening and a night filled with music.

Obviously I wanted to sport something from Debenhams so I opted for this classic, chic black midi number. I absolutely loved it as soon as I tried it on, it clings to every curve and the knot front detail and ruched bum makes it super flattering (I don’t have much of a derriere so this is a huge bonus). Okay so I couldn’t refuse a bit of sparkle, gold and red were my accent colours and how beautiful are these earrings? Never thought i’d be a Pat Butcher earring wearer but hey, i’m embracing it and what’s Christmas without a bit of red?
As for the concert itself? It was awesome, with Sam Smith being a firm favourite (isn’t he always?) All of the acts were so good live, including Rita Ora, Craig David, Anne Marie, Jax Jones,Jonas Blue, and more, if you’ve never been before I would certainly recommend getting yourself a ticket next year, so many good acts under one roof and the perfect festive atmosphere.
Have you got a Christmas party this weekend? Or looking for something special to wear New Years Eve? Head over to Debenhams and get glammed up #youshall
Merry Christmas
