Hello my loves and happy Saturday, are we all well? I’m currently sat at my desk with a long sleeve top on, fur lined trackies and a hot water bottle stuffed down the back of me, lets just say I’m not happy with this cold, miserable weather, give me my summer back!!! The only positive I suppose and actual point to this post is that it’s actually cooled down enough to whip my blazers out, hallelujah!
Now I’ll be honest, a few years ago a blazers scared me to death, I’m not sure if it was the risk of looking like I was off to a painful office job and listening to my creepy boss spout bullshit for 9 hours…. maybe I didn’t want to look like an 80’s pop star with even wider set shoulders than I already have, or just that I was stuck in a huge style rut and didn’t even think to try a blazer because of my instant dismissal of most things surrounding change…. however a few years later (and still with my massive shoulders) I’m converted, I am now a blazer lover and cannot get enough of the damn things.
The best thing about them and what I’ve been oblivious to over the years is you can just throw them over anything and instantly look put together. My preferred way to wear them is with cycling shorts a baggy t-shirt and trainers and as soon as it gets colder I’ll be wearing them over hoodies, knits and matching bottoms I’m 100% digging the suit and trainers trend at the moment and I’m on the hunt for the perfect co-ord to take me through Autumn, if you have any recommendations then hit me up. I’m in love with this long line, checked one from Shein, it’s super flattering and allows your bum to hang free in those cycling shorts without the worry of vpl, perfect for Bridget Jones pant wearers like myself, does anyone even wear thongs these days?
I guess the message to conclude this post is to always try new things, especially if they scare you, if you don’t think you can pull something off then nine times out of ten you more than likely can and it’s just you overthinking the whole thing (story of my life) If you are on the hunt for some cool blazers then head over to Shein for affordable, on trend pieces! I’m off to continue practicing how to style a blazer, hope you all have a great weekend.
