Morning all!! Thought I’d share my breakfast today, I tend to have a smoothie most mornings or my easy overnight oats but the weather is beyond gloomy and wet, so warm, comforting porridge it is! Here’s how to make Blueberry & Banana Porridge.
:YOU WILL NEED:
1 x Cup of Organic Jumbo Oats
2 x Cups of Unsweetened Almond Milk
Splash of Water
1 TBSP Chia Seeds
2 TSP Crunchy Almond Butter
1 x Banana (Sliced)
Handful of Blueberries
Drizzle of Maple Syrup
: HOW TO :
. In a pan, add Oats and Almond Milk and a splash of Water. Stir to combine, bring to the boil and then reduce to a light simmer, cook for about 15 minutes or until the oats have soaked up most of the liquid (depending of the type of consistency you like). You can always add Blueberries into the pan too, but beware, this will turn your porridge a different colour.
. Once most of the liquid has been soaked up, add in 1tsp of Almond Butter and stir through.
. Pop the porridge into a serving bowl and add the chopped Banana, Chia Seeds, Blueberries and the rest of of the Almond Butter. Drizzle over some Maple Syrup, and enjoy!
